SIF-414 - Autonomous Mobile Robot

AMR - Autonomous Mobile Robot

It is a technological proposal that merges an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), a control service and a mobile application to optimise inventory management through the automation and coordination of activities. The system will detect by itself the shortage of raw materials or the need for recycling in a specific station, and the robot will move to carry out the corresponding task.

This system is easily integrated into most of SMC International Training's training systems that are part of the Industry 4.0 family, facilitating the automatic transfer of raw material between stations.

What makes up the AMR?

- A mobile robot: capable of moving autonomously, avoiding fixed and mobile obstacles and recalculating its route without making any changes to the environment and without the need for physical or magnetic guides.

- The control service: in charge of directing the actions of the robot and the operator.

- Mobile application: designed to notify operators of the tasks assigned to assist the robot.

SPECIAL EDITION AMR

MoMa - Mobile Manipulator Robot

MoMa, an innovative solution that combines the power of a mobile robot with the precision of a collaborative robotic arm.

This is a robotic solution that automates not only the transport of goods but also complicated handling operations (picking and placing of parts, storage, placing, holding, sorting, etc.). By combining a collaborative robot and a mobile robot, we obtain a new generation Mobile Manipulator or MoMa.

It consists of:

- A TM collaborative robot arm: It picks up different products with different payloads.

- A collaborative mobile robot LD: transports the whole assembly autonomously to various locations.

- RobotIQ collaborative electric gripper as the final handling element: allows handling different products with different shapes, dimensions and weights.

- Artificial vision technology integrated in the robotic arm: machine vision gives the manipulator a perception of the environment and helps to correct possible errors in the movement of the mobile robot.

It is an assistant in the transport of various materials and works independently of the other stations in the system. It is prepared to be controlled from an OPC-UA client (a PC client, a service on a system computer or a PLC).
