SMC España S.A.U. will process the following categories of personal data that are considered necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes indicated in section 5 below:

5. Purpose of the processing and legal basis

We inform you that your personal data may be processed by SMC España S.A.U. for the following purposes:

  1. To manage your access to the content of the website (technical product information, product configuration etc.), the legal basis being our legitimate interest. If you do not provide the data marked as mandatory we will not be able to provide the offered service, downloads, news, quotes, information, etc.
  2. To perform commercial activities, so we can send you commercial communications, including by electronic means, about offers, events and/or products sold by SMC España S.A.U., the legal basis being the consent given by you, where applicable.
  3. To perform security and fraud prevention activities, the legal basis being to comply with a legal obligation.

Providing your personal data to SMC España S.A.U. is necessary for the implementation and performance of the pre-contractual and/or contractual relationship. Therefore, if you do not provide the indicated information, said relationship will not be possible.

Your personal data may be transferred and processed by the recipients listed in the previous paragraph who may be located inside or outside the European Union ("EU").

For recipients located outside the EU, SMC España S.A.U. has taken the necessary measures to comply with the requirements of the applicable data protection regulations to ensure that the corresponding international transfers of personal data outside the EU comply with an adequate level of protection, through the implementation of an Agreement based on model clauses of the European Commission, Privacy Shield Certification (EE. 8. Storage period

In accordance with the regulations on data protection, your personal data will be kept by SMC España S.A.U. during the period that is strictly necessary to fulfil the aforementioned purposes.

Thus, in principle, SMC España S.A.U. must delete your personal data when it is not necessary for the purposes indicated, although it may keep it until the expiry or the statute of limitations period of the applicable criminal, civil, tax or commercial regulations.

SMC España S.A.U. maintains the appropriate technical and organizational security measures to guarantee an adequate level of protection of your personal data and to minimize the risk of any situation that may violate your rights and freedoms (e.g. unauthorized or illegal access or disclosure, loss, destruction, alteration or damage of your personal data).

  2. Request the rectification of your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  3. Request the erasure of your personal data.
  4. Request objection to the processing of your personal data, that is, request that your data not be processed for reasons related to your particular situation.
  5. Request the restriction of processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (e.g. if you are contesting the accuracy of your data, for the period this is being verified).
  6. Request the portability of your personal data, that is, receive the personal data that you have provided to the joint controllers in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller.
  7. Also, withdraw your consent if this is the legal basis for the processing of your data.
