The "RoboHopper" project carried out by the University of Technology from Delft
On June 21st, the Robohopper projects were presented by the first year students of the Delft University of Technology, the leading university in Mechanical Engineering in the Netherlands.
In this project, students had to present a robot designed and manufactured by them that, in addition to moving as fast as possible, it had to take one or several jumps without falling and finish in a position ready to jump again. Furthermore, the robot had to fulfill some design requirements listed in the contest rules.
SMC Netherlands joined to this design project for freshmen as sponsor. 14 teams from the 70 participants were sponsored by SMC, 8 of which came to the final with a total of 16 finalist teams.
