Vacuum is a technology used in an automated system to lift and move products and materials. Like pneumatics, vacuum technology is based upon some of the basic laws of science and physics but with some differences.

In any learning process we have 2 phases: knowledge acquisition and skills development.

For the first phase, the acquisition of knowledge, in the eLEARNING-200 course "SMC-101 – Principles of Pneumatics", there is an entire chapter explaining vacuum technology. At the end of this chapter, the user will be able to:

- Understand the physical laws that are used in vacuum technology

- Explain the importance of pressure when creating a vacuum

- Explain how a vacuum is generated

- List the types of vacuum

- Define the components that are used in a vacuum system

- Identify the symbols that are used for vacuum components

For the second phase, in order to develop skills such as analysis, design, installation and assembly, operation, etc. in this technology, SMC International Training offer the training equipment VAC-200. VAC-200 complements the PNEUTRAINER-200 (Pneumatics and electro-pneumatics trainer) family, including the most widely used vacuum components in industry.
