Simulations in Mechatronics Challenge made by SMC Hungary

COMPETITION

Last June took place SMC Hungary's professional competition for vocational students in the fields of automation, mechatronics, machine design, pneumatics and electropneumatics, and PLC programming.

A total of 7 educational institutions entered their students and 11 teams were formed to solve the tasks. The competition consisted of two rounds. In the first one, the participants needed to create actuated circuits in the simulation software autoSIM-200, both purely pneumatic and electropneumatic (with relay control) and PLC programming as an alternative solution, according to a fixed task description. The main design task could have only been started after the successful solution of the entry task (first round). The students needed to design a machine and create a 3D model of it. SMC Hungary received a lot of interesting and good solutions from the students, demonstrating their professionalism and the excellent technical knowledge they have acquired in their vocational training.

Congratulations to the winners of the competition and thank you for the hard work of the teachers!
