MAP-200 SE I4.0 - Handling systems 4.0

The MAP-200 SE I4.0 family consists of 2 independent and different units. Each of them reproduces a different handling process, providing a broad view of industrial reality. This family of handlers represents the evolution of automation and mechatronics towards connected, smart environments aligned with Industry 4.0. From Cartesian handling systems to compact assembly cells, the units integrate technologies such as IoT, augmented reality and, in the case of the MAP-205 SE I4.0, energy efficiency to not only automate processes, but also analyse, optimise, and smartly maintain them. A comprehensive training proposal that brings the classroom closer to the real challenges of today’s productive environments. Manipulators with IoT

The MAP-200 SE I4.0 series consists of two independent and different units: MAP-202-IoT and MAP-205 SE I4.0.

All systems share the following Industry 4.0 technologies: augmented reality, software application, OPC UA, Node-RED, programmable controllers and industrial communications. In addition, the MAP-205 SE I4.0 comes with energy efficiency and IO-Link smart devices.

Augmented Reality

A set of technologies that allow a user to observe the real world with virtual graphical information added by means of a technological device. In this way, tangible physical elements are combined with virtual elements, thus creating an augmented reality in real time.

OPC UA

A cross-platform, open-source, IEC62541 standard for data exchange from sensors to cloud applications developed by the OPC Foundation.

Node-RED

Node-RED is a development tool based on visual programming that allows the connection of devices, services, and APIs. This technology has become a standard within the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem.

Software Application

It is a software solution designed to interact directly with operating systems, devices, or technical infrastructures in order to monitor, analyze, and modify operational parameters in real time. This technology acts as an interface between the user and the system.

Energy Efficiency

Efficient use of energy, also known as energy efficiency or energy saving, is the goal of reducing the amount of energy required to provide products and services.

Smart Devices

It is an electronic device, usually connected to other devices or networks through different protocols such as Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, 3G, X10, etc., which can work interactively and autonomously.

Programmable Controlers

Programmable Logic controller (PLC) technology refers to the use of programmable industrial electronic devices designed to automate and control processes and machines, executing logical, sequential and timed instructions from sensor inputs and reliably generating control outputs in industrial environments.

Industrial Communications

Industrial communication refers to a data transmission system designed to enable communication between field devices, such as sensors, actuators, and controllers, and the monitoring and control systems in industry.

Sensors

A sensor is a device, module, machine, or subsystem that detects events or changes in its environment and sends the information to other electronics, frequently a computer processor. With advances in micromachinery and easy-to-use microcontroller platforms, the uses of sensors have expanded beyond the traditional fields of temperature, pressure and flow measurement.

Pneumatics

Within physics, pneumatics is part of the mechanical branch and studies the balance and movement of gaseous flows. It is also the technology that uses compressed air as a mode of transmission of the energy necessary to move and operate mechanisms.

Vacuum

"A vacuum is space devoid of matter. The word is derived from the Latin adjective vacuus (neuter vacuum) meaning "vacant" or "void". An approximation to such vacuum is a region with a gaseous pressure much less than atmospheric pressure. In industry, vacuum allows a temporary bond to be generated between the machine and the workpiece. This makes it possible to move light elements in production."

Manipulator

It is the part of the robot that comes into contact with the parts when moving them, holding them or generating measurements.

Distribution Panel

Is a component of an electricity supply system that divides an electrical power feed into subsidiary circuits while providing a protective fuse or circuit breaker for each circuit in a common enclosure.

Industry 4.0 technologies

In addition to the most common technologies in mechatronics and automated systems such as pneumatics - advanced electro-pneumatics, vacuum technology and sensors, the MAP-200 SE I4.0 family also includes 4.0 technologies present in current production systems such as system access via software platforms, augmented reality and smart devices (MAP-205 SE I4.0) among others.
It includes a software application developed in Node-RED, which communicates with the equipment via OPC-UA. This application is installed and run on a compact PC included in the system, offering the following functionalities:
**MAP-205 SE I4.0**:
- Monitoring of compressed air consumption.
- Preventive maintenance of the solenoid valve block.
- IO-Link beacon configuration.
**MAP-202-IoT**:
- Preventive maintenance of the three pneumatic actuators based on information from the solenoid valve block.
