THE SPANISH SELECTION OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING PREPARES ITSELF FOR THE NEXT WORLDSKILLS

Between the 4th and the 9th of April of 2011 took place at IFEMA, Madrid, the 33rd edition of the spanish vocational training competition SpainSkills. During the four days of competition students, teachers, and directors of technical colleges visited the IFEMA’s pavillion number 9, prepared for the occasion.

SMC International Training sponsored the Skill 01-Polimecanics and Automation in collaboration with its distributor for Spain Alecop. After the common nerves of the first moments, the competitors developped their Test Project with professionalism and determination under the supervision of the jury. The results where known on Saturday resulting as winners the following participants:

Gold medal and representant of Spain in London 2011:

  • Sergio Medina Rodríguez (Castilla y León).

Silver medal:

  • Asier Iraeta Aguirregomezcorta (Euskadi).

Bronze medal:

  • Javier Miñón García (Castilla y León).

SMC was also present in the competition area of Industrial Control through a special version of  the station HAS-206, that even took the atention of the education minister Mr. Ángel Gabilondo. Competitors had to program and putting it into service.

The competitors of Industrial Vehicle also used elements of the SMC Hydrotrainer and Pneutrainer series to complete their respective tests of hydraulics and pneumatics.
